Why do the South African politicians want to interfere in our favourite sport, rugby? Now they are threatening to take away the Springbok emblem and replace it with the country's national flower, the Protea. Why? Why? Why?
They say it is a reminder of Apartheid. What the hell does an emblem or logo like the Springbok have to do with Apartheid? The Springbok has a proud history. They are just being plain spiteful. To piss off the whites once more, but I have to say there are blacks who want the Springbok emblem to stay also. I think they (the politicians) hate us Afrikaans speaking whites) with a passion. Where is the forgiveness, where is the reconciliation? They also threaten that this will be the last World Cup where a white rugby team plays. Our national rugby team has white and black players in it. So what now, do they want to kick out the white players and make the team all black players? Well, I don't care what the colour of the skin of the player is, as long as they leave the Springbok alone!!
